Alan Turing is the father of theoretical computer science and Manchester is the birthplace of the first computer. Coding is the language that is used to talk to computers and tell them what to do. It drives the software in every device, phone and camera – and many everyday household appliances too. With the world going digital, computer coding is a huge part of the future for children. This coding event for children is presented by Barclays Digital Eagles who will guide them through fun challenges that will introduce them to the basics of coding ad what makes technology tick.
