Community Fire Station, Mobberley Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 8EX
This family-friendly event is an opportunity to learn about their local community fire station and how fire fighting has evolved. Modern and vintage appliances will be on display as well as some specialist vehicles and equipment including the Knutsford Community First Responder team who are now based at Knutsford Fire Station.
One of the vintage appliances will be from the early 1950s (which would have been in use around the time of Alan Turing’s trial in Knutsford) and the Service’s Rainbow appliance will also be on display, marking Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service’s number eight ranking in LGBT charity Stonewall’s prestigious Top 100 Employers list for 2017.
There will be a range of activities at the fire station on Mobberley Road, including operational demonstrations and firefighter displays, children’s activities, and vital fire safety advice. Visitors will also be able to see the ‘Pride in Cheshire’ exhibition.
