Knutsford Methodist Church is 152 years old and has a beautiful Rose window at the front of the worship area.
The founder of Methodism Rev. John Wesley preached in Knutsford on the 20th March 1738 from the steps of a house near the George Hotel on King Street.
These steps have been moved to outside KMC, so you can stand (or even speak) from the very same steps.
The building has been improved in recent years to enable the Church to serve the local community more effectively with a Community Hall and rooms. There will be a display of the Spiritual Heritage of our Church with a time line showing key events and personalities.
You will be made very welcome to this beautiful, peaceful place of worship, with its two stained glass windows. There will also be presentations throughout the HOD’s.
KMC is open to the general public for a small exhibition on the Spiritual Heritage of the Church and Town. There will also be a display on the environment under the heading ‘How Green is our God?’
