The Lost & Found is housed in the building known locally as the Old Town Hall (despite never having been used as such!). It was designed by Alfred Waterhouse – who also designed Manchester Town Hall and the Natural History Museum in London – and is an iconic Knutsford building.

After many years vacant, it has undergone a major restoration and is now in use as a popular bar and restaurant.

It is an impressive building in its own right but for Knutsford Heritage Open Days, the Secret Bar has been transformed into a secret 1940s ‘Speakeasy’ to connect the venue with WW2 and Alan Turing, so visitors can hang out in period style.
